Ashokan Cloudburst by Kate McGloughlin

RAFFLE IS SOLD OUT

We feature meaningful local art works in our Bookfest raffles, and this year we’re delighted to bring you the work of Kate McGloughlin.

Kate McGloughln’s monotype, Ashokan Cloudburst, IV, was printed as part of a series dedicated to the families whose homeland was sacrificed during the building of the Ashokan Reservoir.

A longtime muse and the inspiration for most of McGloughlin’s most recent work, the Ashokan Reservoir and its expansive and ever-changing weather patterns have filled her sketchbooks for decades, and is the subject of her latest solo exhibition, Requiem for Ashokan, the Story Told in Landscape, at the Woodstock Artist Association and Museum (WAAM).

Kate’s work has been framed for us by Woodstock Framing Gallery, and the retail value of the piece is $2000, framed.

Tickets are $20.00 each, only 100 sold.

Woodstock Peony #3 by Sharon Rousseau

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT

Don’t miss your chance to own a stunning photo! We’re thrilled to offer raffle tickets for this gorgeous 11” x 11” print, Woodstock Peony #3, by photographer Sharon Rousseau, beautifully framed to 15” x 15” by Woodstock Framing Gallery.

From Sharon: “When I photographed From the Garden, a series of live flowers shot last spring in my garden in Woodstock, NY, my intention was to create a moment of poetry translated to photography. Each peony becomes both poem and picture. I’m happy to donate this print, Woodstock Peony #3, to the Woodstock Bookfest to celebrate writers, readers and the natural beauty of the Hudson Valley region.”

Sharon Rousseau is a writer, poet and photographer who lives in NYC and Woodstock, NY. Her haiku have been published in The New York Times and in Rizzoli’s NEW YORK CITY HAIKU. From the Garden prints have been exhibited at Woodstock Artists Association Museum, Byrdcliffe Guild and auctioned in NYC to benefit the Center for Photography at Woodstock.

Sharon will lead a mini-intensive, The Haiku Moment, at this year’s Woodstock Bookfest.

Tickets are $10.00 each, only 60 sold.
